Survey of Techniques for Handling Timing Problems in Distributed Control

چکیده

This is an overview of distributed computer control systems from the perspective of control performance and the requirements of a safety-critical application. The common timing issues, here called the timing problems, are stated from a control point of view: control period, control delay, jitter and transient error. seen as disturbances acting on the closed loop via the digital computer system, see figure 1, [TÖR95] and [SHI95]. They are partly introduced at design time. Performance and stability of the closed loop depend on control period, control delay, jitter and transient errors. The timing problems comprise all relevant issues concerning timing in a computer system, seen from a control perspective. Because of the nature of dynamic systems, a certain amount of e.g. uncompensated jitter can be tolerated.

Assessment of the Knowledge of General Dentists Practicing in Tehran about Timing of Orthodontic Treatment

Objective: The ideal time to commence orthodontic treatment is very important. In Iran, due to the widely distributed population and low number and uneven distribution of orthodontists, general dental practitioners (GDPs) play an important role in proper treatment of occlusal and functional disorders and referring orthodontic patients to orthodontists. The purpose of this study was to assess ...

Distributed Receding Horizon Control of Multiagent Systems

Multiagent systems arise in several domains of engineering. Examples include arrays of mobile sensor networks for aggregate imagery, autonomous highways, and formations of unmanned aerial vehicles. In these contexts, agents are governed by vehicle dynamics and often constraints, and the control objective is achieved by cooperation. Cooperation refers to the agreement of the agents to 1) have a ...

Schedulability analysis of fixed priority real-time systems with offsets

For a number of years, work has been performed in collaboration with industry to establish improved techniques for achieving and proving the system timing constraints. The specific requirements encountered during the course of this work for both uniprocessor and distributed systems indicate a need for an efficient mechanism for handling the timing analysis of task sets which feature offsets. Li...

Comparing Bandwidth and Self-control Modeling on Learning a Sequential Timing Task

Modeling is a process which the observer sees another person's behavior and adapts his/her behavior with that which is the result of interaction. The aim of present study was to investigate and compare effectiveness of bandwidth modeling and self-control modeling on performance and learning of a sequential timing task. So two groups of bandwidth and self-control were compared. The task was pres...

Pareto-optimal Solutions for Multi-objective Optimal Control Problems using Hybrid IWO/PSO Algorithm

Heuristic optimization provides a robust and efficient approach for extracting approximate solutions of multi-objective problems because of their capability to evolve a set of non-dominated solutions distributed along the Pareto frontier. The convergence rate and suitable diversity of solutions are of great importance for multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. The focu...
